Hello, my name is Gillian Harrington, and I’ve founded RootedKind with a simple yet powerful belief: even small acts of kindness can help shape a better world. In a time when so much can feel out of our control, I wanted to create something that gave families a way to give back—something tangible, joyful, and rooted in purpose.

With a background in writing and early childhood education, I combined my love for storytelling, thoughtful design, and social impact to launch a toy company that does more than just keep children busy. RootedKind creates meaningful play experiences while supporting real-world causes—like building schools, protecting wildlife, and funding other global efforts that make life brighter for children, communities, and the planet.

For so long, I’ve felt limited in my ability to make a difference. But I truly believe that when enough people choose compassion over convenience, we can change the world. Children especially have kind, heroic hearts. If we empower them to lead with empathy, they won’t just imagine a better world—they’ll build it.
